The 1920s is known for a lot of things: The Great Gatsby, the Prohibition era, Art Deco, and fingerprint powder! The first type of fingerprint powder was granular and made out of chalk and graphite. Currently, fingerprint powder is made out of carbon-based material.
As time went on, the need for various types of fingerprint powder was developed. Today we have the most common black powder, fluorescents, white volcanic powder, and magnetic.

Check out Taction USA’s Basic Detective Kit, which includes a standard fingerprint brush, magnetic brush, powder for both, a magnifying glass, and hinge lifters all in a durable case!
